  • Position Overview/Summary

    This position is responsible for systematic problem solving / investigative analysis of engineering aspects of Site/Plant Issues, related to testing and performance of reciprocating gas compressor package, including pressure vessels, separators, auxiliaries, valves, skids and overall compressor package performance.

    Position Qualifications (Required and Preferred)

    Education & Experience:

     

    Educational Qualification: B.E. (Mechanical), with 20+ Years of experience in engineering. At least 10+ years in package engineering.

     

    preferable:

    • Vast experience of package engineering for reciprocating gas compressor.
    • Thorough knowledge of package engineering processes / standards / guidelines.
    • Hands on experience of problem solving / site support for compressor package installation and commissioning.
    • Lead / Internal Auditor for ISO 9001:2008, demonstrated auditing skillsShould have broad experience of documentation and presentation of package engineering investigations.
    • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification will be an added advantage

    Position Responsibilities and Duties

    • Develop and Implement processes related to fast response on package engineering aspects for client / site issues.
    • Verify and Validate basic package engineering calculation related to scrubber design, pressure vessel design, auxiliaries, valves and SKID design.
    • Lead and Implement immediate containment actions of observed non-conformance from Site Issues RCA related to package engineering functions.
    • Lead actions related to verification of probable causes related to package engineering during the course of root cause analysis and visit sites as required for investigations.
    • Bring various alternative solutions to solve and fix site issues to client satisfaction and help maintain client confidence in Dresser Rand / Siemens products.
    • Lead the preparation, Review, Release and documentation of engineering memos, for permanent corrective and preventive actions from RCAs.
    • Coordinate with various investigative agencies, for analytical supports (Like FEA / vibration study) required for root cause analysis and driving permanent corrective and preventive actions.
    • Lead the change management and package engineering documentation, based on RCA, this involves, updating package engineering checklists, drawing improvements, developing SOP / Procedures / Guidelines required for the PCPA (Permanent Corrective and Preventive Actions)
    • Lead and Drive RCA for various lessons learnt and issues observed during package engineering processes and implement permanent corrective and preventive actions in package engineering processes.
    • Monitor and Review package engineering FPY for Drawing / calculations errors and Drive RCAs for major and recurring issues. Monitor the satisfactory implementation of permanent corrective and preventive actions for compressor engineering functions on periodic basis.
    • Support the site team during installation and commissioning of the compressor package at site and primary teething issues observed during warranty period of the compressor package.
