  • Position Overview/Summary

    Coordination of Installation and commissioning of compressor packages along with auxiliaries at customer sites. Cater with various requirements of compressor packages from site receipt till commissioning and handing over of compressor packages. The responsibility lies till completion of the warranty of packages. The compressor packages include- Reciprocating and centrifugal compressor packages driven by drivers like Motors or Engines along with the auxiliaries like- Lube oil consoles, Water consoles, Seal Gas panels etc.

    Position Qualifications (Required and Preferred)

    Education & Experience:

     

    Degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 5-7 years working experience in Oil and Gas , Heavy machinery manufacturing industry or Industry of similar nature

     

     

    Addition Skills preferable:

    • Technical knowledge and understanding of Centrifugal and Reciprocating compressors.
    • Project/site experience with Oil and Gas Industry
    • Working knowledge of industry standards, such as API, ASME, etc.
    • Understanding and working with highest safety standards.
    • Knowledge of equipment installation practices.
    • Proficiency in the application of computerized systems, including standard business applications (i.e. MS Office)
    • Effective verbal and written communications skills
    • Demonstrated organizational skills
    • Strong bias for following processes and continual process improvement
    • Strong sense of time urgency for critical-path project items, milestones, and key project deliverables

     

     

    Position Responsibilities and Duties

    • Understanding of Project Contract from site erection and commissioning perspective

    • Understanding of the equipment’s associated in the respective project.
    • Prepare schedule for Installation and Commissioning of each site and liaison with PG DR / PS DO Service Managers for manpower requirement as various Customer sites.
    • Provide Shipment intimation to customer and issue post shipment letter and preservation requirements.
    • Ensure collection of Field Service reports and manage the same Project wise. Ensure that time sheets are duly signed by Customer
    • Preparation of service invoice in consultation with job PM and CPM and follow up for collection of payment
    • Monitor site progress and ensure that is completed as scheduled      
    • Coordination with the Supplier for installation/commissioning assistance or requirements as per our contract terms and condition with them.
    • Understanding of API and ASME codes requirement.
    • Good verbal and written communication skill with all stakeholders
    • Ensure immediate resolution of reported site issues in consultation with respective function.
    • Ensure that all warranty claims from Client as properly recorded and resolved by working along with job Project Manager to reduce exposure to the organization.
    • Manage project scope via Contract Change Authorizations (CCA), upselling D-R products and services, as per site requirements of customer.
    • Provide Management report for site progress at various Customer sites
    • Conduct Project Lessons learnt for every Project elated to issues faced during E&C along with job PM
    • In case of RCA situation gathering all necessary details as requested from the IOP team.
    • Travel to Customer site as and when needed within short notice.
    •  Coordination of customer training at site or at Plant.
    • Reading and Interpretation of Package Engineering drawings like P&I Diagram, General Arrangement, Foundation Plan, piping plan and piping isometric drawings
