  • Position Overview/Summary

    Dresser-Rand Kongsberg, Norway is looking for 2 Project Procurement Managers to integrate Purchasing in the project management process and the implementation teams at an early stage.

    Position Qualifications (Required and Preferred)

    • Experience with implementing change processes as lead
    • Proven experience for strategic relations and people
    • Experience with work in a project team
    • Experience with ERP system (preferably SAP)
    • Any technical affinity and experience required
    • Any experience in complex purchasing environment
    • Leading experience is a prerequisite


    Position Responsibilities and Duties

    • Organizing, controlling and monitoring all purchasing activities in a project and introducing purchasing strategies aimed at delivering optimal contribution to the operating result, ensuring compliance with the described procurement processes and optimizing the use of the resources available.
    • Implementing proposed changes in the organization / department to raise it to a higher level. Initiate, execute, supervise and monitor concrete actions with the aim of implementing the changes.
    • Participating in project teams, and independently working on the purchasing themes. To act independently as project manager of all outsourced parts. The purchasing activities are carried out by the purchasers of the department.
    • Coaching and supervising colleagues during changes.
    • Define procurement strategies for projects based on SNL or division / group overarching strategies, and ensure that they are actually implemented. Identify solution-oriented approaches and integrate various goals to achieve project goals in cooperation with the strategic buyer.
    • Analyze the operational and sales planning for initial / new projects, and assess and control (material) costs throughout the entire process, thereby ensuring the maximum contribution through purchasing.
    • Identify specific risks, opportunities and market factors during the project to prevent potential damage / opportunities through targeted risk management (eg contractual framework) in cooperation with the strategic buyer.
    • Participate in workgroups and forward information on designated product groups to inform themselves and others, so that early determinants can be exercised and internal processes can be optimized.
