  • Position Overview/Summary

    Perform purchasing for new projects.

    Position Qualifications (Required and Preferred)

     

    • Higher technical education, preferably with additional education in finance or purchasing / logistics
    • Preferably 5 years of purchasing experience
    • Proactive and resourceful
    • Well structured and result-oriented
    • Good communication and collaboration capabilities
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Fluent in Norwegian and English, written and oral

    Position Responsibilities and Duties

     

    • Ensure that negotiations and procurement are carried out professionally with regard to commercial, legal and ethical aspects and in accordance with company instructions, rules and regulations
    • Collect relevant product knowledge of the Supplier market and act as local point between Suppliers and Engineering with regard to both products and services
    • Request and evaluate quotations
    • Negotiate with suppliers and place orders in accordance with current instructions
    • Ensure optimal procurement by market scanning
    • Support sales in the bidding phase
    • Carry out contract negotiating for optimizing purchase contracts
    • Follow-up purchase orders to ensure that delivery takes place as agreed
    • Deal with rejected and non-conforming components according to instructions
    • Build supplier relationship and work with supplier development
