  • Position Overview/Summary

    The responsibilities of this position for a Welder include but are not limited to providing knowledge and varied manual and automatic welding process capabilities utilizing general welding practices and optimum utilization of the tooling/set-ups required with minimal direct supervision.


    This position is for Night Shift.

    Position Qualifications (Required and Preferred)



    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Must be able to demonstrate capabilities & knowledge of procedures & weld processes
    • Capable of reading and implementing weld process requirements in accordance with work scope procedures provided.
    • Able to note weld pre and post repair requirements as referenced in the process specifications.
    • Capable of welding with multiple weld processes including but not limited to manual & automatic GTAW, SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, & SAW.
    • A minimum of five (5) years experience
    • Capable of utilizing hand tools for grinding, assembly, and finishing of components.
    • High degree of safety awareness
    • Capable of accurate documentation of work performed.


    • Capable of reading, understanding equipment drawings.
    • Knowledge of handling / welding on high strength materials
    • Ability to perform weld set-ups with minimal supervision
    • Demonstrated ability with Gas Tungsten Arc Welding and precision aero component repair skills.
    • High degree in compentency in performing percision measuring, knowledge of weldable materials, and weld repair techniques. 

    Position Responsibilities and Duties

    • Set-up components for weld repair per DR procedures
    • Maintain & Weld components per DR procedures
    • Document process variables in accordance with job requirements
    • Maintain work area in a safe environment while performing repairs
    • Assist other repair departments as required.
