Mechanic

Dresser-Rand Cincinnati Repair center is a small fast paced team.  We require our mechanics to work across a diversified range of D-R and Non nameplate equipment.  As such a successful candidate will be a fast learner who is capable of work as both a team leader and a team member as required to meet the goals of the service center and client.  This position requires a successful candidate to be capable of work day or night shift as the required by customer commitments. 

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Journeyman Millwright or Heavy Duty Mechanic
• The ability to routinely lift at least 25 pounds, as required to perform essential functions of the position, for up to eight hours
• The ability to lift up to 50 pounds periodically, as required to perform essential functions of the position

Preferred:

• Minimum of five (5) years of related industry experience required
• Valve experience and or valve repair experience 
• Must be able to read and use measuring instruments accurately
• Must be detail oriented
• Must be able to read and follow blue prints
• Should be able to disassemble, inspect, repair and reassemble
• Experience with reciprocating, centrifugal compressors and/or steam turbines is an asset

• Conduct a daily Behavioral Based Audit (BBA) and report any safety concerns observed
• Conduct mechanical overhauls and repairs of compressors, engines and other equipment
• Communicate and accurately report to Supervisor
• The willingness and ability to work overtime and/or irregular hours
• Maintain good customer relations and promote Dresser-Rand products and services
• Verify measurements of other Mechanics work to meet ISO requirements
• Attend and participate in all safety meetings
• Attend and participate in all toolbox meetings
• Other Tasks Assigned
