Position Overview/Summary

Manage the projects with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and risk of assigned projects for the supply of gas compressors and related control systems to ensure successful project completion with predictable outcomes from dispatch of the equipment from works through the warranty period. This can include new units and revamps units

Position Qualifications (Required and Preferred)

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Engineering

 

Experience:

Working experience at site in Oil and Gas, Heavy machinery manufacturing industry or Industry of similar nature

Experience of dealing directly with end customers.

Commercial experience with sales proposals and contract terms and conditions

General working knowledge of industry standards, such as API, ASME, etc and Comprehensive knowledge of tackling Project related site issues to the satisfaction of Client

  • Ability to effectively lead and work under pressure,
  • Ability to work constructively with all stakeholders, building both internal and external Relationships,
  • Ability to negotiate with senior D-R and client representatives and ability to build an effective Team.

Problem Solving:

  1. Managing the scope and project margins in highly engineered to order environment involving multiple agencies like the end user, client appointed Contractor and inspection agency.
  2. Maintaining and ensuring project progress at site post-dispatch from works with help of concerned department in case of Clients compliant and solving them effectively

Others:

  • Proficiency in the application of computerized systems, including standard business applications (i.e. MS Office)
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills
  • Negotiation skill and commercial experience to manage contract scope post-delivery directly with client
  • Demonstrated organizational skills
  • Strong bias for following processes and continual process improvement
  • Strong sense of time urgency for critical-path project items, milestones, and key project deliverables
  • Redy to travel domestic and internationally as requried.

Position Responsibilities and Duties

 

  1. Primarily the focal point of the Project post-dispatch from the work.
  2. Participate in the order handing over process prior to the dispatch of the Compressor from works with respective Project Manager.  
  3. Responsible for conducting the Pre-Shipment Audit of the machine with respect to approved Piping & Instrumentation Drawing and General Arrangement drawing and ensure the quality of the machine shipped from works.
  4. Ensure that all Clients complaint received during pre-commissioning phase are recorded and solved on time with help of concerned department.
  5. Ensure that RCA / PCA are conducted by concerned Department in case of problems of repetitive nature.
  6. Ensure that material listed as short shipment against a particular Project is shipped on time as mentioned in the form by chasing concerned department.
  7. Build strong relationship with Client Site team and coordinates with them effectively to ensure that there are no major back charges on account of re-work from site.
  8. Responsible for developing the short term and long term storage and preservation procedure mainly for Compressor package items.
  9. Responsible for submitting these procedures on time to Client so that the equipment is properly preserved at site in case it is lying at storage location for extended period.
  10. Responsible for material verification at site once the equipment is received at Client site and preparing shortage list if applicable and getting the same signed from Client for record purposes.
  11. Responsible for issuing letter to Client once the warranty of the equipment is completed.
  12. Frequently required to visit Client’s site both overseas and domestic in case of Complex problem and resolving the same to satisfaction of Client ensuring Company interest.
  13. Work on development of Project check list based on Warranty terms and commissioning help required from Suppliers so that it is reflected in the PI sheet released for major items like Motors, Engines, Control Panels etc. to Supply Chain department.
