Position Overview/Summary

Activities and objectives of the Job – role in the organization

  • Appointed by the Order Execution and Support Manager during the order entry process, he or she has overall responsibility for the proper execution of the orders.
  • This overall responsibility includes results in Costs, HSE, quality, on-time delivery (equipment + documentation) and customer satisfaction, as well as reporting to his or her supervisor and the Operations Director of the site when needed.
  • The responsibilities of the Order or Project Manager range from order acceptance to the end of the warranty period, knowing that the Commissioning and After Sales Manager is appointed to:
    • Coordinate start-up and acceptance of the equipment on the Customer's site when necessary.
    • Coordinate the warranties to address anomalies observed by Field Engineers or the Customer after delivery

Position Qualifications (Required and Preferred)

  • This position therefore requires involvement and rigor flawless.
  • Experience in project management of unless 3 years
  • Academic education: Industrial Engineer or similar
  • High level of English and Spanish
  • Willing to travel worldwide (25% of his time)
  • High level of English and Spanish
  • The position will be based in Zumaia (Gipuzkoa-Spain)

Position Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibilities of this position

  • Approve the bid conditions, i.e. delivery date, scope, non-predefined costs, FAT, commissioning of the new orders and modifications
  • Conduct the kick-off meeting presentation to the organization if necessary, being accountable of all the activities necessary to fulfill the order on time (i.e. engineering definition, procurements and documentation).
  • Optimize the total cost of the project through engineering modifications and waste elimination.
  • Monitor and update the plan for risk mitigation if necessary.
  • Manage all contractual correspondence with the customer, with efficiency, courtesy and concern for advocacy of the company. Generally, it is desirable to provide a return within 72h to any client requests. Maintain electronic archiving in the network of documents relating to the execution of the order.
  • Anticipate and manage the resolution of problems encountered could have a negative impact on: Billing targets (amounts + time), the objectives of maintaining and margin improvement, the contractual milestones and internal delivery targets (equipment + documentation), Any contractual obligation subject to penalty and HSE performance.
  • Coordinate the organization and manage the conduct of meetings with the Client.
  • Make regular reports to the Order Execution & Support manager and to Operations Director on a monthly basis. Major problems and risks should be presented synthetically, detailing the actions and alternatives proposed.
  • Define proposals and negotiate changes to the contract with the customer (with the Client Facing support), and trigger the invoices to the Client and participate in the resolution of disputes or issues recovery.
  • Supervise the instruments of collection, dispatch, shipment and exports
  • Participate in inspections during factory acceptance test if applicable.
  • Coordinate with Commissioning and After Sales department the commissioning on customer site after delivery.
  • During the warranty period assure the Client satisfaction coordinating the technical assistance through After Sales department and approving the warranty costs.
